Elekta has again been named to the U.S. News & World Report's 2017-18 listing of America's Best Hospitals. Almost 85 percent of the top clinics use Elekta’s MOSAIQ oncology information system, the six-time Best in KLAS award winner that enables optimization in health care practices through intelligent automation and actionable analytics.

About a third of the hospitals use Elekta linear accelerators, such as Versa HD, which combines high definition dynamic radiosurgery and precision radiation therapy treatments throughout the body in a single platform. Other popular solutions at these leading hospitals include:

  • Leksell Gamma Knife, the leading platform optimized and dedicated for intracranial stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS)
  • Monaco, a state-of-the-art planning solution that powers efficient high definition treatment planning with gold-standard accuracy
  • Flexitron afterloader and Oncentra Brachy treatment planning software, a leading solution that allows for simpler, more intuitive brachytherapy workflow

Peter Gaccione, Executive Vice President Region North America, says: “We’re very excited to play a role in helping these hospitals attain this recognition. Our ambition is to provide every one of our customers with the best tools available in order to provide their patients with the best treatment possible.”

Elekta provides advanced radiation therapy and radiosurgery treatment solutions and oncology informatics.

For 28 years, U.S. News & World Report has compared nearly 5,000 medical centers nationwide in 25 specialties, procedures and conditions to compile the annual Best Hospitals rankings. Read the complete list at http://health.usnews.com/best-hospitals/rankings.
